Why our slate and stone works so well around water
They are completely non-toxic to fish and all pond life, therefore safe for wildlife ponds, koi ponds, and any water feature where fish or amphibians are present.
Our stones are frost resistant. They are highly resistant to water absorption meaning they do not crack when temperatures drop below freezing, and are suitable for year-round outdoor use across all UK climates.
Both the Welsh slate and the glacial stone will last a lifetime. They do not erode, flake, or break down in contact with water over time, unlike limestone, sandstone, or other porous sedimentary rocks.
Stone for pond surrounds and waterfalls
Larger pieces of our Welsh slate work well as rocks for pond surrounds, statement pieces beside water features, and structural elements within waterfall builds. The stone darkens when wet, giving water features a darker, richer appearance.

How is my order delivered?
1. There needs to be access for a delivery lorry to your address.
2. The delivery company will unload roadside. The pallet(s) can then be moved onto your property using a pallet pump truck - this will only work on hard ground (not on grass or gravel), that is relatively level, and free from steps. If there is no pallet pump truck access onto your property the pallet(s) will be left kerbside.
3. If there is easy pallet pump truck access onto your property then you don't need to be at home on the day of delivery. If the order needs to be left kerbside then you will need to be available on the day.
